Welcome to the Pip & Jim’s Preschool website. Founded in 1974, Pip & Jim’s is a community-based playgroup based in Cheltenham. We provide a safe and happy learning environment for children to come to, for 3 hours each morning, from the age of 2 years 9 months. We provide a variety of ‘learning through play’ activities and have an informal education policy, which aims to meet the six early learning goals to prepare children for full-time education.

Children are kept safe at all times and enjoy the pre-school emphasis on the choice of indoor and outdoor play all year round. Ofsted 2010

We are a committee led, not-for-profit charity. We ask parents/carers to join our committee and take responsibility for matters such as finance, appointment of staff and help with fundraising.

Parents are proud of the group and speak well of the good quality of care their children receive. They feel well involved in the children’s learning as they continue pre-school activities, such as growing beans and make choices together, including clothes for special days and ‘show & tell’.
